Weightloss Goals
Okay, I’m 30 years old. I still consider myself in the prime of my life. However, I do feel like I’ve been gaining a little weight consistently over the past 12 years. I can remember when I graduated High School in 1997 and weighed a total of 145 lbs. I was 5′ 10′ and was being shipped off to Marine Corp boot camp in San Diego, CA. When I arrived on the depot, they quickly realized they would need to “fatten” me up because I was SKINNY. It took only 3 months and I was up to a healthy and ideal weight of 175 lbs (10 lbs a month). Don’t try that at home.
Fast forward 12 year later, I’ve some how allowed myself to increase in size from 175 lbs to 250 lbs. I tell ya, life and weight are 2 things that just slip up on ya.
But NOT anymore! Today is the 1st day of the rest of my life. 11/30/2009 at 4:42 Est I make this promise to myself to lose at least 5 lbs per month.
My schedule is as follows:
11/30/2009 = 250
12/31/2009 = 245
01/31/2010 = 240
02/28/2010 = 235
03/31/2010 = 230
04/30/2010 = 225
05/30/2010 = 220
06/30/2010 = 215
07/30/2010 = 210
08/30/2010 = 205
09/30/2010 = 200
10/30/2010 = 195
11/30/2010 = 190
12/30/2010 = 185
I figure that losing 5 lbs a month is a measurable and attainable goal. I’m not one of those guys that feels I can lose 20 lbs in 2 weeks….that does not seem very sustainable and healthy for that matter. I’ll continue to update my blog with my progress and I hope you guys can keep me honest.
